We recently installed eight (8) synthetic turf target greens at prestigious Addison Reserve Country Club in Delray Beach the will be part of their state-of-the-art, Top Tracer range experience. Synthetic turf tee lines will cover both ends of the range along with an indoor golf teaching studio. Further, we have developed an exclusive “White Bunker Turf” for commercial golf courses and driving ranges that has a unique, light colored backing system. This product is superior to all others on the market and can be easily installed. We have also installed indoor golf simulator rooms for many golf clubs and practice facilities such as Ballen Isles Country Club and 24/7 Indoor Golf. We recently completed a golf practice facility for the Maclay School in Tallahassee, Florida so their boys and girls golf teams can practice right on campus. For recreational amenity options, our putting greens are installed at corporate headquarters for their employees to enjoy during break or get inspired for the next big idea. Many high-end resorts such as Ocean Reef Club, Tranquility Bay, Reunion, Hyatt Regency and PGA National feature our greens as a recreational amenity. That is why many facilities across the state choose us at Southwest Greens. We design and install advanced turf systems that give you a reliable playing experience without the stress of constant upkeep. When you work with us, you get expertise backed by years of research, innovation, and real-world results across some of the most demanding commercial properties in the country.

Why Facilities Choose Our Turf Solutions

You deal with long seasons, heavy traffic, and constant pressure to keep your golf course ready for guests. Natural grass becomes a challenge in this setting. You manage watering, mowing, fertilizing, and daily repairs while trying to control cost and labor. That is where our technology changes the game.

We install surfaces designed to match the look and performance of real Golf Course Grass Florida while giving you better durability and control. The result is a cleaner, easier way to manage your space. You can trust our team to help you build a system that fits your needs with long-lasting value for your property.

Advanced Turf Designed for Florida Conditions

Facilities in the state deal with heat, intense rain, salt exposure, and seasons. Our turf systems hold up even in the toughest environments. Our research teams study how materials respond to weather, ball impact, and daily use. This helps us build solutions made for local conditions.

Many facilities use our surfaces as a replacement for Golf course grass Florida because our materials stay consistent year-round. They do not create mud, bare patches, or surface irregularities after storms. They drain fast, resist matting, and keep their color season after season. This gives you more uptime and fewer maintenance issues.

You get more than a turf product when you work with us. You get skilled designers and installers who understand Golf course standards. We use advanced software systems during design, which let us preview layout, contour, and ball movement. This gives you a finished result that feels natural, even though it is a synthetic golf course system.

Our team handles the entire process from design to installation. We prepare the foundation carefully to support drainage and performance. We install materials with precision to ensure smooth surfaces and consistent speed. Every step happens under strict quality control, so your facility gets a strong and reliable surface.

Cost Savings Over Time

Many facility owners choose our systems because they reduce expenses over the long term. When you compare the yearly cost of maintaining a real golf course grass Florida facilities experience major savings by switching to artificial grass golf course systems.

You reduce water use, fertilizer, mowing, and constant patch repairs. You also reduce downtime, which increases the availability of your practice areas. Over time, this gives you better value and a better guest experience.

Why Our Turf Fits Florida Golf Course Needs

Golf course grass in Florida faces extreme weather. Natural surfaces struggle to stay healthy under intense heat and heavy use. Standing water, disease, and pest issues make it difficult to maintain perfect play conditions. Our surfaces eliminate their issues. You get year-round quality without the uncertainty of natural grass.

Many owners now prefer our synthetic golf course solutions because they provide consistent performance that members and guests appreciate. They look natural, feel natural, and support every part of the game.

FAQ

How Long Does Your Turf Last in a Commercial Setting

A well-installed Synthetic Golf Course surface often stays in strong shape for more than a decade with proper care. Life span depends on usage and maintenance.

Does Your Turf Drain Well During Heavy Rain

Yes. Our surfaces drain fast, even during intense storms. This reduces downtime and prevents standing water across your golf course or practice area.

Can the Surface Handle Daily Club Impact and High Traffic

Our turf systems are engineered for ball strike, club swing, and constant use. They stay stable and consistent even with steady traffic throughout the day.

Does all turf “matt down” or is there a turf that never matts?

This depends on the amount of traffic over the turf and the type of turf selected by the customer.  Turf manufacturers have dramatically improved the resiliency of turf fibers so they have better “spring back”.  However, with enough traffic over the turf by either people, vehicles or service contactors, artificial turf will matt down eventually.  Choosing a turf product that isn’t too soft and has fibers shaped to resist matting helps significantly.  Not all turf types are equal in this regard.  Preventing matting can be improved with maintenance – powerbroom service and adding infill material.

Is the Surface Safe for Players

Yes. We design surfaces that provide strong footing and comfortable support. This helps reduce stress on joints, which improves the overall playing experience.

Does all synthetic grass get hot?

Direct, radiant sunlight is what heats up artificial turf.  If your turf is in the shade and it’s 95 degrees outside, the turf will be near the ambient temperature.  Direct UV can heat turf up to temps above 160 degrees.  Thankfully, there is a solution to cooling turf down using HydroChill coated infill sand which retains moisture in the turf system.  This polymer coated sand absorbs and retains the moisture, slowly letting it evaporate out, thereby creating an evaporative cooling effect.  Southwest Greens of Florida stock and regularly installs HydroChill for clients who need 40 to 50 degree cooler turf.

What about turf for pets, dogs or cats? Does urine stain the turf grass?

Southwest Greens has specially design turf for pets, but most synthetic turf will not be adversely affected by pet urine.  Turf designed specifically for pet applications has a higher, flow-through rate than traditional synthetic turf backings.  Pet urine will not stain landscape lawn turf made with polyethylene turf fibers.

Does synthetic turf drain? Is artificial turf impervious?

One of the biggest myths and misnomers about synthetic turf is that it does not drain and treated as impervious by backward, closed-minded municipal governments, city councils or HOA’s.  Typically, these folks already made up their minds that they don’t want synthetic turf in their communities and are going to deny their constituents from having it based on false claims.  Synthetic turf drains at a much higher rate than natural sod and has been tested by geotechnical engineers to prove it.  Moreover, standardized ASTM testing on the turf material itself shows it drains at a rate above 100 inches per square yard per hour using even the traditional, hole punched polyurethane backing.  High-flow through backings designed for pets drains at even higher rates.  Porous base materials like 57 stone topped with 89 stone ensure a high flow through rate as well.  Ironically, these same naysayers are all for the product when it comes to their parks, playgrounds and athletic fields which all seem to drain fine…no problem.
