Take it to the Next Level with Professionally Designed & Installed Putting Courses

Southwest Greens Florida has extensive experience designing and installing putting courses for commercial properties. Each project is individual in the intended audience it wants to serve so we are flexible in our approach to meeting those needs when designing a course. KPMG recently selected us to design-build 18 replica golf holes from famous golf courses at their Training and Development Center in Lake Nona, Florida.  We have designed numerous mini golf, fun courses for Marriott timeshare resorts and hotels. The South Florida Science Center in West Palm Beach has a unique, tropical inspired course that we installed in 2016. The Conservation Course was co-designed by Gary Nicklaus and Jim Fazio. When downtown Abacoa in Jupiter, Florida wanted to add an 18-hole putting course to their town center, Southwest Greens of Florida built the first Nicklaus Design mini golf course that Jack Nicklaus himself christened at the grand opening.  We work with various outside designers to create the courses our customer’s desire.

What Our Putting Courses Deliver

  • Reliable Play Quality

Players expect clean roll, clear paths, and engaging greens. We design each feature to support that experience. Our putting course installation process uses advanced base preparation that keeps surfaces stable through daily use. Each green feels smooth and consistent, which encourages repeat visits.

  • Strong materials

We use high-quality systems that match the standards expected from our golf facility projects. These materials stay firm under foot traffic and resist wear in tight corners or slopes. You get clean visuals and dependable performance that lasts for years. This matters when you offer commercial putting greens in Florida, where weather and humidity challenge natural surfaces.

  • Custom Layouts

Every course has its own personality. You can request themed areas, water features, slope changes, or creative obstacles. You can also add lighting and landscape elements that enrich the experience. We guide you through each decision so everything works together.

Why Businesses Choose Synthetic Systems

  • Better Performance in Florida weather

Rain, humidity, and temperature changes create problems for natural turf. We avoid these issues with durable systems that maintain their shape through all seasons. When you offer a commercial putting green Florida experience, you want surfaces that drain fast and stay playable after storms. Our systems support daily activity with minimum downtime.

  • Lower long-term costs

You avoid irrigation repairs, fertilizer programs, and constant ground correction. Our surfaces stay clean with brushing and simple upkeep. This lowers your operating cost while keeping your course attractive. The money you save can go into new features or expanded layouts.

  • Consistent visual quality

Synthetic turf stays green all year. Your guests enjoy bright and clean surfaces even during heavy events or peak tourist seasons. This helps resorts and entertainment centers maintain strong reviews and active footfall.

How We Build Your Course

FAQ

How Long Does a Mini Golf Installation Take?

Project length depends on size and design. Most courses move from design to completion within a reasonable time frame, with clear planning.

Are Synthetic Greens Easy to Maintain?

Yes. You complete basic brushing, debris removal, and simple checks. This keeps your commercial putting green Florida looking sharp all year.

Can You Build a Theme Course?

Yes. We can add creative features, shapes, and details during mini golf installation to match your brand or location.

Do Synthetic Putting Greens Perform Like Real Greens

Yes. Our surface offers smooth roll and consistent speed, which makes it great for all levels of play and perfect for synthetic putting greens Stuart Fl.

How can I tell the difference between a good turf installation company versus a bad one?

The good one has been around for a long time and can actually show you 10 plus year old installations that still look good with a happy customer.  They have an excellent reputation and have worked for years for high-end builders, GC’s and landscape architects.  They don’t cut corners and leave out key ingredients to doing a quality job that lasts the test of time.  Consequently, good ones tend to cost more than the cheap guy who has to leave stuff out to be low price.  A telltale sign is the Turf Installation contractor who says “I can bang this out in a couple of days”.  Ask…how much time it will take to complete the job?  The good one will have more time in on the job.  Attention to detail is important to delivering a quality finished turf job.

Does all synthetic grass get hot?

Direct, radiant sunlight is what heats up artificial turf.  If your turf is in the shade and it’s 95 degrees outside, the turf will be near the ambient temperature.  Direct UV can heat turf up to temps above 160 degrees.  Thankfully, there is a solution to cooling turf down using HydroChill coated infill sand which retains moisture in the turf system.  This polymer coated sand absorbs and retains the moisture, slowly letting it evaporate out, thereby creating an evaporative cooling effect.  Southwest Greens of Florida stock and regularly installs HydroChill for clients who need 40 to 50 degree cooler turf.

What about turf for pets, dogs or cats? Does urine stain the turf grass?

Southwest Greens has specially design turf for pets, but most synthetic turf will not be adversely affected by pet urine.  Turf designed specifically for pet applications has a higher, flow-through rate than traditional synthetic turf backings.  Pet urine will not stain landscape lawn turf made with polyethylene turf fibers.

Does synthetic turf drain? Is artificial turf impervious?

One of the biggest myths and misnomers about synthetic turf is that it does not drain and treated as impervious by backward, closed-minded municipal governments, city councils or HOA’s.  Typically, these folks already made up their minds that they don’t want synthetic turf in their communities and are going to deny their constituents from having it based on false claims.  Synthetic turf drains at a much higher rate than natural sod and has been tested by geotechnical engineers to prove it.  Moreover, standardized ASTM testing on the turf material itself shows it drains at a rate above 100 inches per square yard per hour using even the traditional, hole punched polyurethane backing.  High-flow through backings designed for pets drains at even higher rates.  Porous base materials like 57 stone topped with 89 stone ensure a high flow through rate as well.  Ironically, these same naysayers are all for the product when it comes to their parks, playgrounds and athletic fields which all seem to drain fine…no problem.
