There’s never a dull day in the world of artificial turf at Southwest Greens! Whether it’s for a residential backyard, a giant new resort or a Fortune 500 company’s main campus, we’re always going somewhere new creating beautiful and fun amenities that people can enjoy.
A notable big project happening now in 2024 is for the Florida location of global company KPMG. KPMG built their worldwide Training & Development campus in Lake Nona, Florida near Orlando. The property consists of a full, private hotel and conference center that would rival any Ritz Carlton in terms of luxury. There are restaurants, a food hall and of course, plenty of conference and meeting rooms for training.
Outside are pickle ball courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts, bocce ball courts and a sports bar perched on a lake. There’s no need to leave KPMG’s campus when their employees come for training which happens on a regular basis, year-round.
KPMG has been sponsoring LPGA golf for over 20 years and is the title sponsor of the LPGA Championship every year. Many KPMG employees and partners are avid golfers. When they considered adding a golf putting course to their list of amenities, they wanted something very special. Each of the 18 holes were selected from the best golf courses where KPMG has hosted events plus iconic golf holes from famous courses around the world.
The project consists of the installation of over 14,000 square feet of synthetic turf, lakes, sand traps, stacked turf walls and more! Southwest Greens Florida is proud to be selected to design and build this incredible putting course. Construction started in early February and will be completed by end of May, 2024. We have moved in over 1000 cubic yards of base materials to meticulously shape the golf holes to the design plan specifications. This has been a months-long labor of love and we’re happy to say we’re nearing the finish line! We can’t wait to show off the finished greens to both the client and you!
